I guess by now you will realise that Thomas Lakes is one of my favourite trails and destination. The lakes lie at the bottom of Mt. Sopris which is nearly 13,000 feet high. Only 20 minutes drive from my house it is a must for fall colours. This was the first time I have ridden it on horseback – watch out for low hanging branches!!!! These pictures really do not do the colours justice but do give some idea of the beauty of this area 🙂
