Sandhill Cranes

Today I took my daughter to see the annual Sandhill Crane migration near Eckert. The local Audubon Society was running two buses over so we went with them. We were so lucky to see hundreds of cranes coming in to land for the night. They land almost like they are parachuting in. I am including a link to an article in the local paper which originally had many great photos attached to it but also has great information about the migration.

About Bronwyn

Hi. I moved to the Aspen area from Australia in 1997 and have a daughter born right here in Aspen in 2000. I teach skiing (for the past eighteen seasons) and am a Real Estate Advisor with Engel & Völkers Roaring Fork.. I love to ski, snowboard, horse-ride, raft, and hike with our dog Sheila. This valley offers so much and one day I may also take up golf or fishing!
